Cricket Betting at taka be — bet on every format from T20 to Test
Multiple markets on every BPL, IPL and international cricket match, real-time live odds, and easy mobile banking — all in one place.
Three cricket formats and which competitions are most popular
In Bangladesh, cricket is more than a sport — it is a passion. When betting at taka be, understanding the difference between formats matters, because each one has its own pace and its own set of available markets.
T20
Each team faces just 20 overs, so matches finish quickly and the result can swing at any point. BPL and IPL are both played in the T20 format, which is the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. There are plenty of options, from match winner to over-by-over markets.
ODI
A 50-over match with two innings offers a better balance between pace and strategy. The ICC World Cup is played in the ODI format, and the Bangladesh Tigers' performances in this format are always closely followed. Batsman markets and total runs markets are especially popular here.
Test
Five days, four innings — cricket's oldest and most respected format. In Test matches, pitch conditions, weather and session-by-session performance have the biggest influence on markets. A draw is always possible, so the match winner market has three outcomes.
BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) is Bangladesh's biggest home T20 tournament. Excitement around BPL matches runs high across Dhaka and the rest of the country. IPL is held in India, but Bangladeshi fans follow it closely.
For every match in both tournaments, taka be offers multiple markets ranging from match winner to top batsman. Bangladesh Tigers matches in the T20 World Cup draw the most attention of all.
Alongside cricket betting, taka be also lets you bet on football and other sports at taka be Bet.
Football and other sports betting — how it differs from cricket
Football is hugely popular in Bangladesh alongside cricket. The World Cup, major European leagues and the AFC Championship all attract a lot of betting activity, and the markets work quite differently. In football, the match winner market usually has three outcomes: home win, away win or draw. In T20 and ODI cricket there is no draw, so there are only two outcomes.
In Test cricket a draw is possible, making it a three-outcome market like football. Cricket also has innings-based markets — overs, wickets, runs — that have no equivalent in football.
Esports is also growing in popularity at taka be — if you want to bet on CS:GO, Dota 2 or Valorant tournaments, visit the esports betting page for a detailed guide.

Popular betting markets — how each one works
Cricket betting offers a wide variety of markets. Below is a plain explanation of the most common ones.
Match Winner
The simplest market — pick which team will win the match. Example: Team A vs Team B — if you select Team B and Team B wins, your bet is successful.
T20ODITestToss Winner
Which team will win the toss before the match starts — this market has two outcomes. The toss result is independent of the match score, so it is settled separately.
All formatsTop Batsman
Which batsman will score the most runs in that innings — there are multiple selections available. If a batsman does not bat, the bet is usually voided.
ODITestTotal Runs (Over/Under)
Whether the total runs scored will be above or below a set number — for example, whether a T20 innings will exceed 160. Pitch conditions and team form are important factors here.
T20ODIMulti Bet
Combining bets from multiple matches — if all selections are correct, the odds are multiplied and the return is much larger. If even one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Any matchFirst Wicket to Fall
Which over the first wicket will fall in — you bet on an over range. The form of the opening bowlers and batsmen is the main thing to consider here.
T20ODIThree odds formats — how to read and calculate them
Betting platforms display odds in three ways — decimal, fractional and American. Decimal odds are used most often at taka be, but understanding all three makes it easy to work out any bet.
Example 1 — Even odds
Say Team A will win and you place a ৳1,000 bet:
| Format | Odds | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | Total return including stake: ৳3,000 |
| Fractional | 2/1 | Profit of ৳2 for every ৳1 staked |
| American | +200 | Profit of ৳200 on a ৳100 bet |
If Team A wins, the return is ৳3,000 (৳2,000 profit + ৳1,000 stake). If Team A loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — Favourite's odds
Team B is the favourite; on a ৳1,000 bet:
| Format | Odds | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.80 | Total return: ৳1,800 |
| Fractional | 4/5 | Profit of ৳4 on a ৳5 stake |
| American | -125 | You need to stake ৳125 to win ৳100 |
If Team B wins, the return is ৳1,800 (৳800 profit). American minus odds show how much you need to stake in order to win ৳100.
Multi bet calculation
Three separate bets with odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90. Combined: 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (approximately). On a ৳100 stake, if all three win the return is ৳581. If any one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
Live in-play betting — odds change as the match unfolds
In-play betting means you can place bets after a match has started — and the odds update with every ball or over. This feature is particularly useful in cricket, because a single wicket or a big six can shift the entire direction of a match.
Say Team A is in a strong position after the first ten overs — at that point the odds on a Team B win lengthen. If Team A suddenly loses 2 wickets, the calculation changes again. It is this constantly moving odds feed that makes in-play betting different.
Powerplay overs: During the first 6 overs, the batting team's odds tend to move quickly. New markets may open based on the possibility of a bowler's hat-trick or a batsman's form in the death overs.

A few useful points before you start betting
- Set a budget: Betting is a form of entertainment. Decide in advance how much you will stake each week or month, and stay within that limit.
- Start with one market: If you are new to betting, focus on the match winner market first. Placing bets across too many markets at once makes things complicated.
- Be careful with multi bets: Combining bets raises the potential return, but the risk increases just as much. One wrong selection and the whole thing is lost. Start your multis with fewer selections.
- Choose markets that suit the format: Over/under markets settle quickly in T20. Session-based markets in Test cricket take much longer. Understand which markets fit which format before making a decision.
- Play responsibly: Never think of betting as a source of income. Read the responsible gaming guidelines and know your limits.
- Do not rush in live betting: In-play bets require quick decisions, but rushing increases the chance of mistakes. Wait for the right moment.
What is betting?
Betting is a leisure activity. Every bet carries the risk of losing money. Never chase losses by placing more bets to try to win back what you have lost.
